Child protection policy
Introduction
Our mission is to work to protect and affirm children's rights and to increase the well-being of children. We are convinced that all forms of abuse/violence and exploitation of children are unacceptable. We believe that it is crucial for child protection to ensure that children have rights, grow up in a safe and secure environment. An environment in which they can make choices, express opinions, and interact effectively with other children and adults.
We reaffirm our belief in the right of all children to be protected from all forms of abuse, neglect, exploitation, and violence, as enshrined in the 1989 UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
We share that discrimination, prejudice, or repressive behavior, or language in relation to any of the following are not acceptable: race, culture, age, gender, disability, religion, sexual orientation, or political views.
Child protection is both a corporate and a personal responsibility. All employees of the foundation are aware of the need to integrate child protection in all our activities.
Any interactions PULSE Foundation has with individuals and structures that are found to have relationships related to abuse/violence and exploitation of children will be terminated immediately.
We are convinced that measures must be taken to protect families from people who would seek opportunities to gain their trust and ensure access to young children through the activities of the organization. The likelihood of employees, donors, or partners committing acts of abuse / violence against children is taken seriously by our organization, which is committed to working to prevent them.
Child protection is both a team and a personal responsibility. All employees will be made aware of the need to integrate child protection in all our activities. Relationships with anyone found to be involved in child abuse/violence and child exploitation relationships will be terminated immediately.

Standards for the good governance of a civil society organization
Since the beginning of 2021, the PULSE Foundation has joined the initiative of the Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation (WCIF) "Standards for Good Governance of a Civil Organization".
The standards cover the following areas:
1. Transparency, accountability, and control (7 standards)
2. Human resources (3 standards)
3. Conflict of interest (7 standards)
The standards are an important step in changing the image of civil society organizations. They are an opportunity for organizations to come together around common values and minimum standards of good governance to discuss and further develop as needed.
