Training sessions and supervision for specialists

We believe that in order to help others, you must also take care of yourself. The PULSE Foundation supports specialists working with people who have experienced violence through professional trainings and supervisions. Our approach is based on a psychodynamic understanding of the individual and more than 25 years of practice in direct support for survivors of violence. We create a space for learning, awareness, and sharing — so that every specialist can be more confident, effective, and resilient in their mission to help.

Training

The training programs of the PULSE Foundation are aimed at specialists from the social, educational, health, and law enforcement sectors who work with people who have experienced violence.

Our goal is to support professionals in developing knowledge, skills, and sensitivity on the following topics:

  • Domestic violence.
  • Human trafficking.
  • Sexual violence.
  • Violence against children and other forms of violence and exploitation.

The trainings place emphasis on:

  • The multidisciplinary approach and effective networking.
  • Case management and client-centered approach.
  • Developing skills for working with trauma and emotional resilience.
  • Crisis and crisis intervention.

We work through a psychodynamic approach – a method that views the person in their entirety: emotional, behavioral, and social. This approach helps specialists to gain a deeper understanding of the processes that occur when encountering trauma, as well as their own experiences and reactions in the role of helpers.

Our training sessions are based on more than 25 years of practice in supporting people affected by violence. We combine theory, real case studies, and interactive methods, creating a space for reflection, exchange of experience, and professional growth.

Supervision

The PULSE Foundation provides individual and group supervision for specialists and teams from:

  • Organizations – providers of social services.
  • Non-governmental organizations.
  • Institutions and professional communities.

Supervision aims to support specialists in the helping process – to maintain their professional effectiveness, prevent emotional burnout, and develop personal and professional awareness.

We work within a psychodynamic approach, which facilitates the understanding of unconscious processes in the relationship between specialist and client, encourages reflection, and strengthens the inner resources of the helper.

The supervision we offer is a space for support, reflection, and growth – a place where specialists can take care of themselves to continue caring for others.
