PULSE Foundation has successfully completed the activities within the project "Together we can do more!" – an initiative aimed at improving inter-institutional cooperation and support for people from small settlements in Pernik region.
The project, implemented in the period February 2024 – February 2025, was funded by the European Union and the Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation under the Rights and Values Programme. Its main goal was to raise awareness and sensitivity on issues related to domestic violence and human rights, especially in isolated communities.

Within the framework of the project, round tables were organized with the participation of specialists from various institutions in the Pernik region, including social services, police, judicial system, educational and health institutions, non-governmental organizations and community centers. The discussions revealed the need for improved cooperation and coordination in working with vulnerable groups.

In addition, a sensitive seminar was held with the participation of specialists from institutions and organizations in the region. The workshop provided practical knowledge and skills to recognize and respond effectively to cases of domestic violence, emphasizing the importance of a holistic and multidisciplinary approach. Over 100 are the specialists who took part in the round tables and the training.

An important focus of the project were also the talks with children and parents, held in different settlements in the Pernik region. Within the framework of the initiative "Together we can do more!" more than 30 interactive meetings with students and their parents were organized. Over 500 students and over 100 parents took part in the discussions, discussing important topics such as violence, discrimination and social inclusion. The sessions were distinguished by the active participation of students and the exchange of experience between parents.

The activity achieved significant results, including:
- Enhanced exchange of information and good practices between institutions.
- Improved understanding of the need for coordination in working with vulnerable communities.
- Increased sensitivity and capacity of specialists to identify and respond adequately to cases of violence.
- Improved awareness of children and parents about their rights and ways to protect themselves.
The project "Together We Can Do More!" is part of the PULSE Foundation's commitment to create support networks and build a sustainable system for protecting the rights of people in small settlements.
