On July 7, 2024, we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Foundation "Positive Personal Skills in Society" – PULSE.
Over the years, the PULSE Foundation has established itself as an organization setting the standards for supporting victims of violence, human trafficking, and other at-risk groups by providing comprehensive support - counseling programs, a crisis center, art therapy activities, training, prevention...
Throughout all these twenty-five years, a team of specialists has tirelessly developed services and programs for people in need, not only in the city but gradually throughout the entire country.
Our international program has enabled us to establish partnerships with organizations from Europe, the USA, Africa... to share our best practices, learn successful working methods, and enhance our activities in Bulgaria.
From 1999 to mid-2024, we helped 15500 people, including:
- At the Center for Social Rehabilitation and Integration "Tatyana Arsova", 7870 individuals received professional support from psychologists, social workers, and lawyers.
- 675 women, children, and men received temporary shelter and protection at the Crisis Center for Individuals and Children, victims of violence and/or trafficking.
- 17 children were placed in the Crisis Center "Nadezhda", with priority given to children who were victims of trafficking.
- 19 people passed through the organization’s Transitional Housing.
- We reached over 6000 people on the streets, in neighborhoods, and communities for the prevention of HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, addictions, and more.
- Over 1000 people received humanitarian support during the COVID-19 pandemic.
These are not just numbers. They represent thousands of human lives that received help, support, and understanding in difficult times.
Happy anniversary to all of us - the team members of the PULSE Foundation, all our volunteers, partners, donors, and friends, without whom this noble cause would be impossible to come true.
We promise to continue optimizing and enhancing our services and programs in the future, making every effort in the fight against violence in all its forms.
