In the period from February 20 to March 2, 2023, the volunteers from the Youth Club "То be friends" in partnership with the International Youth Center - Pernik, BRCY - Pernik and Scout club "Krakra Pernishki" to the Organization of Bulgarian Scouts will organize on the territory of Pernik a campaign called "Let's just fight with snowballs”, dedicated to Pink Shirt Day, with a focus on the prevention of school and online bullying.
Pink Shirt Day will bring together the efforts of youth organizations to raise awareness and sensitize young people on the topics of school bullying and cyberbullying, as well as to inform and involve young people in conversations about the types of school violence, ways to prevent and opportunities to seek help support.
As part of the campaign, a series of online and offline events and initiatives aimed at young people will be organized, and at its core will be the implementation of a game specifically developed for the purpose - "School Wars", which will draw attention to the topics in an interactive way, related to school violence and how to prevent it.
The campaign dedicated to Pink Shirt Day aims to remind that bullying in schools exists and encourages us to think about how we can all work together - children, young people, teachers, parents and the whole of civil society - to stand against it EVERY DAY to have a friendly and good school environment, built on the basis of beautiful and harmonious relationships.
The campaign is part of the municipal annual plan for youth 2023, developed in fulfillment of the goals of the currently active Municipal Strategy for Youth (2021-2030) with a focus on improving the mental health and emotional state of young people and their subjective well-being .
