The project builds on the creative initiatives of the PULSE Foundation. Within its framework, weekly creative workshops will be organized for the children who benefit from the organization's support programs for people affected by violence, as well as for their parents. The main goal of the project is to help children overcome the consequences of the violence they have experienced by participating in various art and creative workshops.
The support will be directed towards over 100 children from Pernik and the region who have experienced violence in the family or at school, as well as around 20 youth volunteers from the "To Be Friends" youth club, with whom PULSE Foundation works. The children will have weekly creative workshops – drawing and decoration, animal husbandry, gardening, knitting and sewing; they will also be included in singing and dancing lessons and courses.
The activities will be organized by experienced educators, psychologists, and social workers, who will support each child in discovering their inner creator, creating beautiful cards, fairies, flowers, and other items, taking care of decorative animals such as fish, parrots, pigeons, and others, or growing flowers. The products created will be shown at various events and charity bazaars.
As a result, the children will enhance their self-esteem and satisfaction, be able to express themselves through positive communication, and interact more freely. They will also gain a sense of personal significance.
Through the DreamUp program, the "Hug Me" association will also receive support, which works with about 30 children from social institutions in Sofia through activities in fine and applied arts, theater workshops, creative writing, and text illustration; as well as Concordia Bulgaria Foundation, which works with 170 children at risk from disadvantaged communities from Roma neighborhoods in Sofia and the village of Malki Iskar, Etropole municipality through art workshops - painting, pottery and small DIY projects for the development of fine motor skills; as well as a chess course, guitar lessons, sports activities.
The DreamUp program aims to promote education and socialization through artistic activities. In Bulgaria, the program is implemented in partnership with BCause Foudnation. The current edition of the program is based on the results of the previous two editions, in which 3 organizations worked with a total of 125 children from institutions through psychological support, educational and art activities in order to develop their creativity and talents.
